I'm Toby Ward, the mind behind OSTWCyber, a space where my insatiable curiosity for technology and my journey into the captivating realm of cybersecurity come together. Tech Curiosity to Cybersecurity Passion:
My love affair with technology began long ago, fueled by a fervent desire to push boundaries and explore the uncharted territories of the digital landscape. However, it wasn't until recently that I embarked on a new adventure – a UK Higher National Certification in Digital Technologies, specializing in Cyber Security & Networking. Since September, I've been immersed in the world of cyber threats, defences, and the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape.
The Most Fascinating Part - Cyber Threats and Defense:
For me, the heart of cybersecurity lies in understanding the threats that loom over businesses and individuals. The process of deciphering these threats and developing strategies to defend against them is nothing short of fascinating.
My Educational Pursuits:
Currently pursuing an HNC in Cyber Security, I am eagerly gearing up for the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CysA+) certification and its predecessors upon completing my course. This journey is not just about acquiring certifications; it's about honing my skills and translating theory into hands-on expertise.
Staying Informed and Connected:
In the fast-paced world of cybersecurity, staying ahead requires a network of keen minds and reliable news sources. My approach involves staying connected with industry experts and reputable news outlets to ensure I'm always up to date.

Inspired by online personalities within the cybersecurity industry and nudged by peers, I decided to channel my passion into a blog. OSTWCyber is not just a platform for me; it's a community where we explore, learn, and grow together in the ever-evolving cyber landscape.

Notable Achievements and Projects:
While my cybersecurity journey is still in its early stages, I've had the exhilarating experience of leading my team to victory in our first in-class Hackathon competition. Beyond that, I'm actively involved in building a personal encryption-based application with a group of friends – a project that I'll likely be sharing on this blog.

Outside the world of cybersecurity, my passions extend to aviation, Artificial Intelligence, the defense industry, and the fascinating realm of quantum computing. Expect to find these subjects making appearances on OSTWCyber as we explore the intersections of technology.
